Perhaps it’s because we’re a melting pot of different cultures or it may simply be because of the sunny weather all year around. Irregardless, Malaysians warmly welcome visitors and treat them as their own family as evidenced by the unique custom of the ‘open house’ when Malaysians literally throw open their homes to visitors during cultural celebrations.
